The Rainbow Crosswalk on West Nine Mile Road will be repainted on Tuesday, May 31, which was previously scheduled for Wednesday, May 25. This will involve a temporary road closure on West Nine Mile, between Woodward and Allen, until the work is complete. There may be some delays, and be sure to follow all posted detours.

May 25 Update: Due to the forecasted rain today, the rainbow crosswalk repainting will be delayed. However, the Department of Public Works (DPW) decided to use the road closure today to adjust some pavement markings from the Woodward Ave crossing repair, and make some heavy patching updates to Nine Mile Rd. The road is anticipated to re-open around noon today, May 25.

When weather permits, DPW will finish the crosswalk painting. We will provide any updates to the schedule as necessary. We appreciate your patience!
