Yard Waste Season
Public Works
Yard waste begins the week of March 23, 2026, and runs through the week of December 14, 2026 (two weeks early this year!). Set your yard waste out in paper kraft bags or a labeled container (labels are available at City Hall or the DPW yard) at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your regular trash day.

Splash Pad is Open!
Martin Road Park Splash Pad
Make a splash at the Martin Road Park Splash Pad! Cool off daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. all summer long, until Labor Day on Monday, September 7, 2026. Help us keep the Splash Pad clean by keeping food and trash away from the area. For your safety, an emergency phone is always on-site.

Wahoo, it’s almost time for Park It! Family Fun Night! Join Ferndale Parks and Recreation on Thursday, July 30, 2026 (RESCHEDULED), at 6:00 p.m. in Harding Park. DJ Mr. Dance will turn up the volume at 6:30 p.m., followed by a showing of Super Mario Galaxy at 8:15 p.m. Enjoy a night filled with local vendors, exciting giveaways, and the chance to win fantastic raffle prizes. Bring your family, friends, toads, goombas, and koopa troopas!
