Ferndale, Michigan—On Thursday, June 18, 2026, at approximately 12:52 p.m., Ferndale police officers and Fire Department personnel responded to the area of 22230 Woodward Avenue (near the intersection of Woodward Avenue and College Street) on a report of a crash involving a truck and an e-bike. Upon arrival, responding officers located the e-bike operator and pronounced the individual deceased at the scene. The individual has been identified as a 33-year-old Ferndale resident.

One of the units involved in the accident was an Oakland County Road Commission truck. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist with the investigation.

The Ferndale Police Department extends its deepest condolences to the victim’s family and friends during this difficult time.

The incident remains under investigation.
