Ferndale Police Department Announces Re-Accreditation
Congratulations to the Ferndale Police Department! On Thursday, September 3, 2026, the Ferndale Police Department was officially reaccredited through the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police (MACP).
MACP accreditation is a voluntary process that allows law enforcement agencies to measure their policies, procedures, training, and daily operations against established professional standards. The process includes a detailed agency review and an outside assessment to ensure those standards are met.
The Ferndale Police Department has completed the accreditation process for the third time. Maintaining accreditation is a significant accomplishment that shows the department’s continued commitment to professionalism, accountability, and quality service to the Ferndale community.
Congratulations to Chief Emmi and the entire Ferndale Police Department on this accomplishment. The hard work that goes into completing this process is something the entire department should be proud of. Well done, Ferndale PD!
