Our program offers a wide variety of activities for children ages 5-12 to keep their summer busy, including group games, crafts, water play, interactive exhibitions, and special events. Counselors are primarily responsible for serving as positive role models for children throughout the course interaction during such activities. Counselors are also tasked with assisting the Camp Director in programming, leading activities, set up, clean up, logging incidents, administering basic first aid, and maintaining a safe and secure environment, as well as other duties assigned.
Due to COVID-19, this year's camp will call for additional safety requirements to keep both campers and camp staff safe during the program's duration. All campers, parents, and camp staff members will be required to wear a mask as often as possible during camp hours. Additionally, campers will be divided into separate groups of no more than 10 campers on a weekly basis with one camp counselor assigned to lead activities, breaks, and safety measures for each group. Groups will be kept separate as much as possible and will generally participate in activities on a rotating circuit. The majority of activities will take place outdoors.
Applicants must be 18 or older, possess a valid driver’s license, and have a minimum of 4 weeks of experience working in a day camp or similar setting. CPR and First Aid certification are required; applicants without CPR and First Aid certification will be provided training upon hire. Successful candidates are self-motivated, energetic, dependable, positive, creative, quick-thinking and caring.
