Board of Review
The board annually hears and decides upon requests for adjustment of tax assessments.
About the Board
Members are appointed by the City Council and must be City residents. Experience and/or training in matters related to real estate is helpful but not required. Finance Director Phillip Whitfield and City Attorney Dan Christ serve as staff liaisons through virtue of office. Preferred areas of expertise include:
- Banking/finance
- Real estate/development law (no agents or brokers)
- Property appraisal/assessing
