2026 Leaf Pickup Schedule

  • Program Dates: Week of October 19, 2026, to the Week of November 23, 2026
  • Weekly Pickup Schedule: One business day before your scheduled trash/recycling pickup

Special Note: If your leaf pickup falls on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, your collection day will be pushed to Friday, November 27, 2026.

DPW will issue warnings for any leaves at the curb by Monday, November 30, 2026. After this point, leaves can be mixed with yard waste until the week of Monday, December 14, 2026.

Collection Schedule Procedures

  • Leaves must be placed out by 7:00 a.m.

  • Crews make one pass through each area weekly

  • If leaves are not out before collection occurs, residents should remove the pile from the street and wait until the following week’s collection period

Where to Place Leaves

Leaves should be:

  • Placed in the gutter along the curb

  • Kept free of debris

  • Positioned to avoid blocking bike lanes when possible

Do not:

  • Place leaves between the sidewalk and curb

  • Block catch basins

  • Mix sticks, rocks, grass, or trash into leaf piles

Vehicles and Access

Residents are encouraged to move vehicles away from leaf piles whenever possible to improve collection efficiency. Missed pickups are most commonly due to parked vehicles.

End of Season

After the leaf collection season ends:

  • Loose leaves will no longer be collected

  • Leaves must be bagged and disposed of with yard waste

Leaves left in the street after the program ends may create drainage and traffic hazards and may result in enforcement action.

Additional Information

The City may periodically establish seasonal drop-off sites for:

  • Bagged leaves

  • Pumpkins

  • Cardboard and holiday recycling materials

Additional information is announced seasonally.
