Looking for the perfect place to plop your pumpkins? Well, look no further! The City of Ferndale's annual Pumpkin Plop is back for another autumn (only this time, it's bigger and better!)

Previously, the plop was restricted to pumpkins only. This year, you can also drop off straw, hay bales, and cornstalks to be composted by the Department of Public Works. Only organic materials are accepted, so please do not bring painted pumpkins, artificial pumpkins, yard debris, food waste, or candles.

WHEN to plop: Friday, October 30, 2026 to Monday, November 9, 2026

WHERE to plop: Special dumpsters in the Kulick Lot (1201 Livernois St) and the Southeast corner of Martin Road Park
