Ever wondered what it’s like inside a fire station? Join us for the Fire Station Open House on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Fire Station 2, located at 1070 E. Nine Mile Road.

Explore the station, view hands-on fire safety demos, learn CPR, see how a fire blanket works, practice with a fire extinguisher, and enjoy treats and refreshments while meeting your Ferndale firefighters.

SOCRRA will be in attendance to offer battery recycling. It’s the perfect way to kick off Fire Prevention Week, October 4–10, 2026, especially given this year’s theme, “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower.” Protect yourself and others by using this opportunity to dispose of old batteries properly and safely.
