Ever wondered what goes on behind the doors of a Fire Station? Step inside for a close-up look at gleaming fire trucks, hands-on life-saving gear, and exciting activities, including on-site CPR training, fire blanket demonstrations, a fire prevention trailer, and battery collection.

Experience all this and more at the Fire Department's Open House on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Fire Station 2, 1070 E. Nine Mile Road in Ferndale. Our firefighters can’t wait to kick off Fire Prevention Week and meet the Ferndale community. This event is free, and all ages are encouraged.
