Applications are still being accepted for the open City Council appointment until Tuesday, May 5, 2026. To better engage with applicants, the City Council will host a Council Candidate Forum on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in City Council Chambers.

Applicants should prepare a 3-5 minute statement about the following questions:

• What would be your top three goals if selected as a Councilmember?
• What policies or programs drove you to apply, and which areas of local governance are you most interested in?
• How do you believe you will fit in and work as a team with the current Council?

If applicants cannot attend the meeting in person, please email cotoole@ferndalemi.gov by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2026. Other email instructions will be provided to applicants.
