Field and Facility Rentals

The City of Ferndale offers several unique indoor and outdoor spaces for parties, events, athletics, and more.

Outdoor Spaces

Parks and Pavilions

Don’t wait to reserve your park or pavilion for the summer season! There are many structures and pavilions available for rent at Geary Park, Martin Road Park, Harding Park, Wanda Park, and Schiffer Park—the City’s newly-renovated downtown park.

City of Ferndale parks are available for daily public use between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Most park features can be used without a permit, on a first-come, first-served basis. Events that require extended use of picnic pavilions, electricity, ball fields, soccer fields, and field hockey rinks may require a reservation and permit.

Reserving a pavilion grants you exclusive use of the shelter (including electricity) and accompanying tables.

  • Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • A $75.00 nonrefundable deposit is required upon reservation.
  • Pavilions are rented in four-hour increments: 8:00 a.m. to noon, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., and 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.

To learn more information and reserve a pavilion, please complete the Park-Pavilion Rental Application.

Fields

City residents, leagues, and businesses are eligible to reserve City park activity fields. Recreation teams with permits are given priority use of fields during their designated permit time. Permits must be on-site to be considered valid. No individual or group may have more than two permits at a time.
To apply for a field rental permit, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 248-544-6767 Ext. 519. A valid Michigan ID will be required to verify residency.

Indoor Spaces

Even though the Kulick Center is currently closed to the public, we still wanted to remind residents of our typical rental information for our indoor spaces.

Community Center

The community center seats up to 144 and is perfect for showers, reunions, birthday parties, receptions, and dinners. It is also available for small meetings, classes, or demonstrations for up to 50 people. A full-service kitchen is available for food preparation. A moveable wall is available for spatial division, as well as a Kid's Corner if necessary. No alcohol is allowed at the Community Center. If you plan on having over 100 guests in attendance, this will require separate agreements and conditions.
