Clean the Ferndale Up

2018 Clean the Ferndale Up

Clean the Ferndale Up is the City's annual spring spruce-up event, where community members join staff and elected officials to rake, garden, repair, and beautify areas of our fair city. Join the movement by volunteering for the cleanup, bring your recyclables to the on-site drop-off station, or simply use the opportunity to clean your own yard. Cleanup projects this year include the Veteran’s Memorial, downtown Ferndale, and a selection of city parks.

When

Saturday, May 19, 2018. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m.; event is 8:45 a.m.–noon.

Where

Meet at Ferndale City Hall; cleanup events occur throughout the city.

Who Participates?

Everyone! Our event routinely sees involvement from residents, friends, families (supervised children are absolutely welcome), local businesses, and community groups. Physical limitations are not an issue; there are tasks for all, and we all work at our own speeds. These cleanups are fun and spirited for all!

What to Wear/Bring

Gardening attire—t-shirt, blue jeans, and boots or sneakers—are best. If you have them, please bring gardening gloves, rake, or shovel. We also suggest sunscreen and water bottle.
