The annual Clean the Ferndale Up is the City's annual spring spruce-up event, where community members join staff and elected officials to rake, garden, repair, and beautify areas of our fair city. Join the movement by volunteering for the cleanup, bring your recyclables to the on-site drop-off station, or simply use the opportunity to clean your own yard. Cleanup projects this year include the Veteran’s Memorial, downtown Ferndale, and a selection of city parks.
Saturday, May 16, 2020. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m.; event is 8:45 a.m.–noon.
Meet at Ferndale City Hall; cleanup events occur throughout the city.
To help with planning, we ask that you register to attend Clean the Ferndale Up beforehand. Register now.
Everyone! Our event routinely sees involvement from residents, friends, families (supervised children are absolutely welcome), local businesses, and community groups. Physical limitations are not an issue; there are tasks for all, and we all work at our own speeds. These cleanups are fun and spirited for all!
Gardening attire—t-shirt, blue jeans, and boots or sneakers—are best. If you have them, please bring gardening gloves, rake, or shovel. We also suggest sunscreen and water bottle.
