Versa Development Group is proposing another phase of the DOT project, a residential component. The applicants are proposing the construction of an 18-unit multi-family mixed-use building with one retail space on the ground floor and residential on floors 2-4. This will be constructed on the West side of the DOT mixed-use parking garage on the corner of W. Troy and Allen Street.
This use is permitted in the Central Business District (CBD) and Planned Unit Development (PUD) overlay district. During the original PUD development process in 2018, this parcel was designated as a future multiple-family development, but was also given an option to be used as office space. The applicants have chosen to go forward with the residential component and is revising their PUD Agreement from 2018 to account for a new design.
