This spring, the City participated in a large tree planting effort in the community and we still have some trees available. The Department of Public Works is selling the remaining trees for $150 each, with coordinated delivery (DPW will not be planting the trees).
Trees provide a variety of community benefits including carbon sequestration, energy efficiency, natural habitat, and beautification of the community. As part of this program, moderate maintenance will be required to ensure the health of the tree. This includes weekly watering during the summer months and ensuring that trees are protected from lawn mowers or weed whips. The Department of Public Works will provide scheduled pruning on all trees, which typically occur within the first three years of new tree planting.
If you didn’t receive a tree and are interested in getting one, please fill out the Late Spring Tree Sale form and select the type of tree you would like. Trees will be available while supplies last.
