The City of Ferndale has announced that it will partner with BUILD Institute to host an innovative new business development event: “Open City: The Art of Networking.”
The dialogue and panel discussion—which focuses on creating connections and making lasting first impressions—will be held at Ferndale’s Rust Belt Market on Wednesday, March 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Participants will hear from a panel of business leaders and network-engagement specialists: Dan Riley, president of Axle Brewing Co.; Cheryl Salinas-Tucker, owner of Rouge Makeup and Nail Studio; Javier Evelyn, CEO of Alerje; Matt Zook, director of Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce; and Heather Coleman-Voss, business services coordinator for Ferndale Michigan Works.
The discussion will be moderated by Ferndale Mayor David Coulter, who will guide the panelists in a conversation about how they intentionally use networking to improve their professional and business identities and increase opportunities. They will share personal stories and tips for how successful entrepreneurs make themselves memorable.
