Stay Home, Spruce Up

April 27, 2020

The City of Ferndale and the Ferndale Beautification Commission are excited to bring you a spring cleaning challenge with a little twist—stay home, spruce up.

The rules are simple, clean up your property located within the Ferndale city limits without leaving your home for supplies or tools. This can include, but is not limited to, the following:

-Simple landscaping projects completed on your own
-Trimming or cutting tall weeds, grass, trees, or brush
-Raking leaves
-Removing downed trees
-Scraping and painting exterior surfaces of your home/garage
-Removing trash, junk, and debris from your property
-Storing trash/recycling containers in the rear of your home

The contest will run from April 27 through May 22, 2020. To enter, you must complete your property improvements and submit before AND after photos along with a list of improvements here on or before Friday, May 22, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Properties must be located within the City of Ferndale limits and the improved area must be visible from a public street or road.

The winning properties will be chosen by the Ferndale Beautification Commission and announced on Thursday, May 28.
