Parking Permit Payment Error Affects Small Number of Customers

The City of Ferndale's Finance Department and Republic Parking division discovered an issue this morning with one of their third-party payment vendors that causes transactions for parking permit purchases and auto-renewals to be charged three times. The issue appears to have begun at approximately 3:30 a.m. today and may have affected up to 20 customers.

The error is with permit parking payments only; meter/parking-station and ParkFerndale app transactions are not affected.

Upon learning of the issue, the Finance Department stopped permit parking transactions until the problem could be identified and resolved. Republic Parking is working closely with its parking payment vendor, Passport Parking, to ensure that the issue is addressed as quickly as possible.
