Parking Payment Merchant Processor Reports Technical Issue

The merchant processor the City of Ferndale uses to process credit card payments for parking—including online permitting and parking sessions via ParkFerndale mobile app and payment kiosks—is reporting technical issues. Customers attempting to use their credit cards to pay for parking services may experience "card not authorized" or similar error messages.

Assistant City Manager Joseph Gacioch and Republic Parking Manager Kevin Canze are in touch with the merchant processor, Point & Pay, as well as the City's parking provider, Passport Parking, and both companies are investigating the issue. The City will update residents and parking customers as we have more information.
