Have an Issue to Report to the City? There's an App For That

October 9, 2017

Have you noticed a park in need of maintenance? A code enforcement issue in your neighborhood? Need to report an issue or safety concern to the City?

Now, there’s an app for that.

The City of Ferndale, in partnership with SeeClickFix, has launched MiFerndale, a robust new mobile application that takes the guesswork out of communicating with the City. With the free MiFerndale app, you can report the things that matter to you—graffiti, potholes, weeds, and more—in a fast, easy way, right from your phone.

“MiFerndale enables us to improve and enhance how we engage with our community and our workforce," said Assistant City Manager Joseph Gacioch. "Better yet, it helps us plot out a picture of our community’s needs as well as illustrate the diverse range of work that our crews respond to on a daily basis.”

Interacting with MiFerndale is easy:

  1. Download the app to your phone or tablet—search "SeeClickFix" in your app store; it will geotarget your location and automatically download the MiFerndale version
  2. Use the report feature to upload a short comment about the issue, add photos if you wish, and confirm the location
  3. Click submit

Voila—reporting issues to your city is as easy as 1-2-3. Your report will automatically be routed to the correct individual, with no need to know which department or extension to call.

"With social media, websites, and the other number of technology streams out there, we often hear that people are confused about who to contact, "Gacioch said. "MiFerndale takes the guesswork out of it; just report the issue and the app will route it where it needs to go."

MiFerndale is available via Apple, Android, and the City's website.
