Ferndale Resumes In-Person Meetings

After sixteen months of electronic Zoom meetings for City Council and boards and commissions, the City of Ferndale will once again welcome participants and attendees to City Hall Council Chambers.

All local and State emergency orders allowing for the continuation of electronic meetings in response to the COVID-19 pandemic expired on June 20, 2021; all City boards and commissions will resume meeting in person.

Please read on for information about the City's various meetings and the methods provided for engagement.

CITY COUNCIL

Schedule

Ferndale City Council meets biweekly on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Meetings in Person?

Yes; City Council meetings will be held in person in City Hall Council Chambers, 300 E. Nine Mile Rd.

Electronic Meetings?

Yes; for those who prefer to attend and engage digitally, meetings will continue to be held via Zoom. Visit the Meetings & Minutes portal for up-to-date information about agendas and packets, meeting information, Zoom links, and call-in numbers.

Participants and Visitors Welcome?

Yes; participants and visitors are both welcomed and encouraged. Join us in person or via Zoom; please note that priority for public comment will be given to those attending in person.

PLANNING COMMISSION

Schedule

Ferndale Planning Commission meets biweekly on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

Meetings in Person?

Yes; Planning Commission meetings will be held in person in City Hall Council Chambers, 300 E. Nine Mile Rd.

Electronic Meetings?

As of August 2021, Zoom meetings will no longer be available. However, the meetings will be broadcasted to Youtube and cable (Comcast/Xfinity—channel 17, WOW—channel 10, AT&T U-Verse—channel 99). All visual presentation materials and audio will be available for viewing. Closed captioning will also be provided.
