Ferndale joins International Council for Local Environment Initiatives

March 2, 2020

The City of Ferndale is now a member of the ICLEI network – the International Council for Local Environment Initiatives – which is committed to sustainable urban development. The ICLEI influences sustainability and drives local action for low emission, nature-based, equitable, resilient, and circular development. ICLEI’s mission is to build and serve the movement of U.S. local governments to pursue carbon pollution reductions and improve sustainability.

Through ICLEI, Ferndale will now be registered with the ClearPath tool, ICLEI’s leading online software program for completing greenhouse gas inventories, forecasts, climate action plans, and monitoring at the community and government-wide scales. We are excited to use this as an opportunity to progress toward our goals of sustainability and tackling climate change!
