Family Fun at the Ferndale Fall Festival

September 20, 2018

The leaves are changing and pumpkin is the flavor of the season, which can only mean one thing: the Ferndale Fall Festival is on its way!

This year’s festivities will take place Saturday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Activity Center at Ferndale's Martin Road Park. There are a number of family-friendly activities planned, including:

-Hay rides

-Pony rides

-Pumpkin painting

-Carnival games

-Trick-or-treat trail

-Much more!

The price for entry is $5 ages 2 and up; children under 2 are free. Entry wristbands grant participation in all attractions except for food purchases.

Ferndale Parks and Recreation is also seeking volunteers to assist different shifts between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Volunteers can expect to engage in a variety of activities ranging from event setup and cleanup to running carnival games for children. It’s a great opportunity to connect with local kids and families and give back to the community. To learn more about volunteering, contact Shelby Simpson at Ferndale Parks and Recreation at 248-544-6767, by email at ssimpson@ferndalemi.gov, or visit www.ferndalemi.gov/departments/parks-recreation.
