Family Fun at the Ferndale Fall Festival

September 11, 2017

When pumpkins blossom and leaves fall, you can be sure of one thing: the Ferndale Fall Festival is on its way.

This year’s festivities will take place Saturday, Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Activity Center at Ferndale's Martin Road Park. There are a number of family-friendly activities planned, including:

  • Hay rides
  • Pumpkin painting
  • Carnival games
  • Bounce houses
  • Trick-or-treat trail
  • Much more!

The price for entry is $5 for children ages 2-15 and $2 for ages 16 and up; children under 2 are free. Entry wristbands grant participation in all attractions except for food purchases.

Ferndale Parks and Recreation is also seeking volunteers to assist different shifts between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Volunteers can expect to engage in a variety of activities ranging from event setup and cleanup to running carnival games for children. It’s a great opportunity to connect with local kids and families and give back to the community. To learn more about volunteering, contact Emanuel Johnson at Ferndale Parks and Recreation at 248-544-6767 or by email at summercamp@ferndalemi.gov.

For more information about the event, follow the Parks and Recreation Department's Facebook page or contact them at 248-544-6767.
