Announcement of New Park Ferndale General Manager

September 15, 2020

We’re pleased to introduce the new Park Ferndale General Manager, Bruce Campbell. Bruce Campbell has been in the parking industry for many years. He has recently moved here from Kansas City, Missouri, and is excited about his new chapter in Michigan.

Campbell’s previous role was the Parking Administrator for Parking Services in Kansas City, Missouri. He has experience in many parking environments, including municipal on-street and off-street, commercial office, residential, special event, and airport. He has also been involved in the opening of several new parking decks. His experience working in the public and private sector has provided him with an understanding of the complexities and importance of parking ecosystems and how they should operate.

He has also worked with the private sector, city leadership, and stakeholders to develop policies that support off-street and on-street parking utilization. He facilitated a mayoral appointed commission that provided community input into parking & transportation policy. Bruce also served as the district manager for community improvement districts related to parking assets. This allowed for direct interaction with key stakeholders and developers who partnered with Kansas City.

His professional formative years were spent in the United States Marine Corps where the principles of leadership were instilled in him and have influenced how he approaches everyday life.

Campbell is looking forward to his new role in the community. When asked about the anticipated opening of The dot parking structure, he expressed his thoughts on the space. “I like the configuration. I think this will allow easy access, which isn’t always the case. We’re looking forward to utilizing the space to maximum capacity. I’m looking forward to the dot and what this means to the City and citizens of Ferndale.”

On behalf of the staff at the City of Ferndale, we offer our sincerest congratulations to General Manager Bruce Campbell!
