The Ferndale Downtown Development Authority is seeking a detail-oriented person to serve as our part time Administrative Assistant. We have a lot of ideas and programs in the works, and we need support to make them a reality. We're looking for team member with motivation to work independently and bring their own perspective to the existing policies and procedures of the office. Our goal is to continually seek improvement, and we will look to the Administrative Assistant to be a part of that discussion by making their voice heard.

Most of the daily assigned responsibilities will focus on tasks like monitoring voicemail and email follow-up, conducting data entry to maintain an updated directory of businesses, ensuring timely processing of invoices and other documents, and overseeing office organization and management. However, there will also be opportunities for special projects that may create opportunities for professional development and growth.

SKILLS

  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Positive and self-driven
  • Accuracy with data entry and attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills preferred
  • Technical Skills Required: MS Office Suite, Social Media Platforms

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from an accredited High School
  • Some office administration experience required, but other forms of work experience can be considered if they are applicable to the duties described
